march event
right guys as some of you will know and some wont the midland masters has moved back to uttoxeter.
after speaking with tweak we would both rather play there than down south.
problem we have is the next event is 11th march only a couple of weeks away. who thinks they would be able to afford it?
we still need to put 2 teams in.

ths is more accessable to drive to late at night as well.
what does everyone think? we would have to take a gamble like as all 6 events would have to count!
me personally lets get back to uttox!!

Re: march event
i have spoken to wendy guys and we can pay the entrance fee by the end of the month!
this has both benifits and drawbacks.
i do prefer uttox and also in the summer months we can train again for free on the field!.
i know what i would like to do but this one aint upto me!

Re: march event
would we have to take the van if we went back to Uttoxeter with training the day before? Also I'm unavailable for this as I'm on holiday. Would there not be any problems us switches venues as the season has already started? Guessing not because of your 'contacts' Jon but just asking

Re: march event
only 6 rounds out of the 8 count to final standings. if we started in march then we could get 6 in!
if were training and taking 30 - 40 cases of paint then yes we would need the van.
i need to sit and work out the costs of both. in fact ill do that now

Re: march event
Currently would have to put two holidays in but I'll talk to the other half and get back to you could also use the landy instead of the van slightly less space but if the vans not full then we would be wasting diesel for excess space of you get me up to you the jon

Re: march event
for this one for example with taking the van and transporting everyone who is going to the southern masters ( inc Kai) from up north and back would be £17 each so £5.50 cheaper!
Re: march event
id prepher utox then bricket i didnt like the event its self, also it would work out better for the drivers on the travel
and for the people who have the girlfriends its easier to camp then going the night before or staying at tweeks im sure people will agree with that
so id rather play at utox then bricket

Re: march event
To be honest they both have there goods and bads and I would be happy with either.
As for playing on the 11th I am not sure if i could get the time off (as my schedual done a month in advance) let alone afford it, even at the end of the month.
Put me down as a probably not but i will see what i can do.

Re: march event
Would only be able to make uttox in March will explain why when I see you. I'd personally prefer to do the midlands due to the training the day before and the camping. The driving is a bonus as well.
What would the dealio be with paying at the end of the month? Would it just be for March or every month because it will be the same situation the month after with people being able to afford it wouldn't it?

Re: march event
also is it would it be worth having a team meeting before the first tuesday of march? that way everyone would be there and i think it would be easier to explain everything from Jon's point of view and easier for the rest to understand everything. Then again easier for everyone to work out what they can/can't play and would be better to discuss which event we play. Would this be plausible?

Re: march event
to be honest we have 9 who can play (kai has sorta confirmed - rach did it for him lol) against 4 who cant. of those 4 all 4 wouldnt of been playing this month anyway.
looks like the rest of the season will be played out at uttoxeter.

Re: march event
okely dokely, so this weekend is still Bricketwood, the 11th March is when we start playing back at Uttoxeter? On another not i think i slightly prefer Uttoxeter purely for the fact it isn't unbelievably muddy walking to/from the field!

Re: march event
the mud at bricketwood isnt too bad! go to the cpps, last time i went a couple tractors needed to be summoned to help all the cars get out and the staging area people were loosing their shoes in the mud!

Re: march event
its the winter its going to be muddy wherever you go, uttox can be a mud bath during the winter, ive seen loads of cars being pulled out by a tractor, same as lincoln and dont even get me started on elsham, that was a swamp.
Re: march event
i loved elsham, i was more covered there than i ever was playing a full game of rugby and that was walking from the staging area to the field!!
Re: march event
Im a yes lol
Can you not speak to wendy about getting at least half of our points transferred? Then that would account for one tourny!
